Most desktop computers do not have a wireless network card. If you want to use wireless Internet access, you must buy a wireless network card. Although Wireless network card for pc are not expensive, the better is around $7, and the general around $3, but there is a common problem: the working temperature is 0-40 degrees, which means that the wireless network card is like a baby in a swaddle and cannot withstand big winds and waves. Once the temperature exceeds 40 degrees, it will be burnt.

40 degrees is a temperature that can easily be exceeded, especially in summer. If the temperature is above 35 degrees on a certain day, the wireless network card is likely to exceed 40 degrees, which means that it may be burned.

At first, because the author didn't know how to cool down and maintain, I burned three wireless network cards in three months, and burned one per month on average. There are brands with more than $7 and ordinary brands with more than $3 in them.

Faced with such a fragile wireless network card for desktop, is there any way to extend its lifespan? To withstand the maximum temperature that is too low is the main reason why the wireless network card burns out. As long as you want to cool it down, you can extend its service life.

Two points should be paid attention to to extend the service life of wireless network card for pc:

1. Cool down the wireless network card in summer

You can fill an empty toothpaste box with cold water and put it under the wireless network card. Make sure that the wireless network card is in contact with the toothpaste box, otherwise it will not be able to dissipate heat. You can also put cold water in a plastic bag and put it under the wireless network card. It is best to use several layers of plastic bags to prevent the water from leaking into the computer.

2. Protect the wireless network card when the computer fails

When the computer malfunctions, such as no response when starting up, unable to enter the desktop, blue screen restart and still unable to restore, etc., you must first unplug the wireless network card from the computer, otherwise it may be burned. The author burned two wireless network cards due to a computer failure. Therefore, it is very easy to burn the wireless network cards in this situation. Don't take a fluke and think that you have not burned them before.
