How to solve an add on for this website failed to run in Internet Explorer(ie10/11)

Lionsure 2020-03-29 Original by the website

When opening a webpage with ie10 or ie11, they pop up a small dialog box prompting "An add-on for this website failed to run. Check the security settings in Internet Options for potential conflicts." below, and then disappear automatically after a while. What is going on? Observation can be found that not every web page pops up such a prompt, most of them include flash animation or video. It can be seen that: it may be because ie10(or ie11) does not have a flash player installed, and ie does not find the flash player when it loads flash animation, so the corresponding prompt is popped up; or the flash player is installed, but not enabled, or enabled but not detected by ie10 or ie11, this may be related to the fact that ie no longer supports the flash player. It is said that Windows 8 comes with a flash animation player; it may also be because the add-on for the webpage to play video is not enabled.

There are three options for the problem that an add on for this website failed to run, the first one is to enable the add-on; the second one is to select the Internet Explorer version according to the Windows version; the third one is to prohibit that an add on for this website failed to run is prompted in Internet Explorer.

Method 2: Select the Internet Explorer version based on the Windows version

1. If you are using Windows 7(Windows server 2008 R2) system, currently using ie10 or ie11, if you have already checked with "Method 1" and still haven't solved the problem, you can uninstall them and reinstall ie9 browser.

2. If you use Windows 8 system, the built-in flash player cannot be used, you can download the corresponding flash player according to 32-bit or 64-bit system, and copy the corresponding files to C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash(32-bit) or C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash(64-bit) directory.
